HR Operations Manager (m/f/d)

General Description
You will join our successful journey in disrupting the luggage and tech market. You will work hands-on in the HR department as HR Operations Manager (m/f/d).

Your Role

  • Ownership HR operations across the employee lifecycle (Germany & UK, more to come)

  • Responsibilities include onboarding, offboarding/offboarding interviews, monthly payroll, pension/employee benefits, overseeing staff attendance/absences, supporting the organisation of staff appraisals, parental leave, and maternity/paternity leave, preparation of documents such as contracts, amendments, and letters of reference

  • Employee relations: HR point of contact for our employed and released staff across Europe

  • Support the execution of HR/people operations-related projects and actions e.g. in the field of L&D, leadership coaching, co-driving a positive performance culture

  • Ownership dedicated projects based on experience and aspiration 

  • Support the planning, implementation and evaluation of our HR processes, policies, and procedures to constantly improve workflow, and reduce costs

  • Point of contact for external HR partners and authorities (Germany & UK)

  • Co-drive the organisation/facilitation of special activities/formats such as company-wide quarterly strategy sessions and culture sessions, workshops, and HR-related Q&A sessions

  • Take the ownership for the employees’ experience, and represent Horizn’s values within this key department with immediate impact on the success of our company: highly professional, positive, and driven by in-depth knowledge and true empathy

  • Coordinate and partner with various internal teams to ensure alignment across the organization

  • Directly report to Head of HR 

Your Skills & Experience

  • You have at minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position, previous experience in startups/e-/v-commerce is a plus

  • You gained knowledge in HR relations, and German labour & employment law, additional labour & employment law knowledge (particularly other European countries) is a plus

  • Experience with Personio and/or Leapsome is a plus

  • You have project management skills

  • You are a truly trustworthy person, and have highly developed social skills

  • You have a positive, hands-on personality

  • You have good experience in working in cross-cultural teams

  • You are eager to learn, and to take responsibility

  • You are a team player, results-oriented and like to take the initiative

  • Fluent both in German, and English
