Horizn Art Programme funds emerging artists

Horizn Studios has been deeply connected with the arts and the creative community from day one. Not only are our founders avid lovers and long-term supporters of the arts – the entire brand has creative culture running through its veins, from music to fine arts.

Through the Horizn Art Programme, Horizn Studios supports young emerging artists from all over the world on their journey to creative excellence. Following our core values of “Curiosity, Creativity and Collaboration,” we constantly seek to collaborate and empower exceptional talents.

Horizn Discovery Award 2019

with Rirkrit Tiravanija

The acclaimed artist Rirkrit Tiravanija is heading the first edition of the Horizn Discovery Award. His work is widely recognised, defying media-based description by combining object making, performances and other forms of social action. For the Discovery Award, Rirkrit was asked to nominate three artists with outstanding talent to make project proposals. In September, the Jury will select one of them as a winner for this year’s award.

Empowering the new

Biennials allow courageous curatorial concepts to address urgent issues of our times. This exhibition format often calls for new commissions which we would like to encourage with our Horizn Biennial Award. We aim to support new projects produced within the framework of an international biennial.

A journey to the unknown

We collaborate with an international network of art professionals who support us to uncover the most inspiring rising artists from regions that are not yet visible to the global art world. By inviting regional experts, we aim for discovery beyond our direct reach. Through the art programme, we aim to support young emerging artists from all over the world who thus far work mostly under the radar of the established international art scene.
